Rolling soap don't foam!

by | Apr 12, 2024 | News

The question that comes back all the time: your soap foam? Then I will answer you with another question!

Have you ever noticed the difference between a quality soap and a common commercial product?

There is much to bet that foam plays a leading role in your assessment.

But what does a real foam quality soap with elegance, without excess, offer this rich and luxurious sensation on your skin? I'll try to get some answers.

Your foam soap?

To this recurring question, I answer YES!

But this answer is not enough, a real quality soap, will produce a delicate, light, sensual foam.

Not a large foam shower gel coming from active tension, which is why this answer needs to be supported a little. I'll try to bring you some information to help you understand. The difference between the foam of one of my soaps and that of a shower gel or other industrial products is real. But she explains.

foam soap

Soap foam or a shower gel, what makes them different?

The soap foam!

Foam formation when using soap is due to a process called « emulsification ». Soaps are made from molecules called surfactants. They come naturally from the saponification reaction. They have a unique molecular structure. These molecules have a hydrophilic end, which is attracted by water, and a hydrophobic end, which is pushed back by water but attracts fats and oils.

When you rub soap with water, the surfactants disperse into the water. The hydrophilic tip is attracted by water, while the hydrophobic tip is attracted by oils and fats on your skin.

As a result, soap molecules form aggregates called micelles. The hydrophilic ends are located outside the micelle. The hydrophobic ends are grouped inside, surrounding the oils and fats.

When you shake these chips by rubbing the soap on your skin. They capture oils and fats, forming an emulsion.

This emulsion traps oils and fats in small bubbles. Small bubbles that are what we see as foam. This foam helps remove dirt, oils and impurities from your skin. She imprisons them to be rinsed away with water.

Foam in a soap is the result of the interaction between the natural surfactant molecules of soap, water and oils on your skin. It forms an emulsion with water that helps clean your skin effectively.

The oils used in the soap formula can influence the abundance of foam.

The foam that comes from a shower gel.

Shower gels are often made from synthetic or semi-synthetic surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Or sodium lauryl ethersulfate (SLES). These surfactants are designed to produce an abundant and stable foam when mixed with water.

The synthetic surfactants will work in the same way. But they won't leave the same feeling on the skin.

The foam of a shower gel can sometimes be more dry for the skin. Due to the use of stronger surfactants and the possible presence of additional foaming agents.

The abundance of foam does not wash better!

It should be noted that it is not the foam that does the cleaning when using a soap or shower gel. But rather the surfactant molecules present in the product. Foam is simply a by-product of the action of these molecules.

The molecules in the soaps act by capturing the oils, fats and impurities present on the skin. They surround them and disperse them in water to be rinsed. The formation of foam is simply the result of the agitation of these molecules in water.

Thus, even if an abundant foam can give the impression of a more efficient cleaning. The amount of foam does not necessarily reflect the product's ability to thoroughly clean the skin. In reality, a product can be just as effective in cleaning the skin even without producing a lot of foam.

It is therefore essential to focus on the active ingredients of the product. Rather than the amount of foam it produces. Choosing a soap or shower gel with smooth and effective ingredients is crucial to maintaining clean and healthy skin. But this regardless of the amount of foam it produces.

foam soap

It's a very personal choice!

The preference for using soap or shower gel often depends on individual preferences in terms of skin sensation, foam level and fragrance. Some prefer the traditional sensation of soap, while others enjoy the abundant foam of a shower gel.

In conclusion, YES! My soap is a foaming soap!

But not like a shower gel! If you're looking for a real cheap, abundant moss that stays. I advise you to stay with your industrial soap or shower gel. And I wouldn't want it!

However, if you are looking for a product with a smooth, light and delicate foam. The cold saponified soap is for you.

It is also important to understand that depending on the oils that make up the soap. The foam will be different. That's why it's important to test several soaps. To vary them, because every shower, every sensation will be different. And that's the best, I think!

The Word of the End

The shower is an intimate moment, of sensation, of comfort. That's why it's important to make it its time.

While you're Team big foam with a shower gel. Or Team delicate foam of a natural soap saponified cold. That's cool!

Just stop saying that soaps don't foam!

It's just a different foam.

And to be very honest, the foam I prefer is blonde or white 😂🍺Hey!
