Natural soap France: what does that really mean?
The term natural soap France attracts a lot, and that's normal. It evokes something more authentic, sweeter, closer to the real.
But you have to be honest: soap is not picked in nature. Soap is always the result of a transformation. So it's fairer to talk about soap. Manufactured from natural raw materials, rather than a "natural" soap in the strict sense.
But you can really choose a soap:
- Made in France,
- crafted,
- formulated with quality vegetable oils,
- without aggressive petrochemical surfactants,
- thought to respect more the balance of the skin.
Why choose an artisanal natural soap made in France?
Choose a natural soap made in France, it is not only buying a hygiene product. It's also about choosing a way to consume.
You prefer local know-how.
You support human-sized manufacturing.
You give meaning to a gesture of everyday life.
In my case, this logic goes even further. I'm not just making soaps. I'm also a farmer. Some of the oils I use come directly from my farm. It changes everything in my way of working.
I know the origin of my raw materials.
I know how they were grown.
I can tell what's behind every soap.
And in my eyes, this is what gives value to a French artisanal soap: traceability, consistency, and simplicity.
A cold saponified soap, what's the difference?
The cold saponification is a method of artisanal manufacture that allows to create a soap otherwise.
Unlike more industrialized manufacturing, this process works soap paste without aggressive cooking. It better preserves the qualities of the oils used and makes it possible to obtain a soap naturally rich in glycerin.
The result: soap cleans, but it does not try to strip.
It's particularly interesting if your skin pulls, heats, blushes easily or doesn't support too aggressive cleansers. Many skins do not require a complicated routine. Most of all, they ask that we stop attacking them.
That's also why I defend cold soap: it puts simplicity in the bathroom.
Why is overgras soap often more comfortable?
A good one Surgras soap leaves the skin more comfortable after washing.
In concrete terms, an overgras soap contains a portion of oils not processed into soap, which helps to make cleaning softer. The naturally produced glycerin during saponification also contributes to this more supple skin sensation.
This does not mean that a soap replaces a care. This means that it can already avoid worsening skin discomfort.
And when you have uncomfortable skin, it is often the first real relief sought: do not come out of the shower with the skin that pulls.
Not all "natural" soaps are worth
Two soaps may seem close on paper, while they tell very different stories.
On one side, you can find a soap sold with a nice speech, but formulated without any real substantive consistency.
On the other hand, you can choose an artisanal soap based on real know-how, controlled manufacturing and carefully selected raw materials.
Here's what I find important to look at:
1. The manufacturing method
A cold saponified soap does not offer the same experience as an industrial washbread.
Gentleness, foam, feeling after rinsing: everything changes.
2. Composition
Better a simple and legible formula than a product with an extension.
The more essential a soap goes, the easier it is to understand what you put on your skin.
3. Origin
4. Actual use
A good soap is not just a "joli" or "trend" soap.
It is a soap that you want to use every day because it makes the shower more pleasant and the skin more comfortable.
Why I Believe in Natural Soap France
I believe in French artisanal soap because it puts common sense in a common gesture.
Washing should not be complicated.
Taking care of your skin should not require ten products.
And consuming local should not be reserved for food.
When I make soap, I'm not trying to impress with an unrealistic promise. I'm looking for an honest, sensory, efficient and enjoyable product to use. A soap that finds its place in a real life.
A soap that you take in your hand in the morning or evening, which turns the shower into a softer moment.
Local also changes the relationship to the product
Choosing a soap made in France, and even more a local artisanal soap, changes your relationship to care.
You don't buy an anonymous product.
You choose an identifiable production.
You know who's behind it.
You better understand what you're using.
In my universe, this proximity counts a lot. Because a soap is not just a formula. It's also an intention.
I grow, I transform, I manufacture.
I work on a small scale.
I prefer a simple and honest logic.
And I think it feels in the products.
